Jethro Pickett is a songwriter from Tasmania, Australia who at times calls Dublin Home.
2013 saw the release of his debut album, By the Time I Get to Wilmot. The album comprises of ten songs that journey from the Tasmanian hills to the heart of the listener via the warm tone of a rich voice. Honest lyrics, Wurlitzer piano, charismatic drumming and carefully crafted guitar sounds guide Jethro’s audience along a trail of stories and insights from the past to the present. History and hopes are revealed in these intriguing songs. 
Recorded in Melbourne, Tasmania and Dublin. Jethro enlisted the fantastic musicianship of Paul Slattery, Adrian Whitehead, Andrew Keegan, Josh Berryman, Ursula Woods, Nicholas Cheek, David Ferriter, Ava Pickett, Josh Owen and Kate Walker. There is a genuine chemistry between them that can be felt throughout. 

Since the release, Jethro and band have been busy promoting and touring. They've performed in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Australia, the UK and Ireland. They've also been fortunate to play alongside some of their favourite acts enjoying festival slots at Castlepalooza, Féile Na Bealtaine, Electric Picnic's Salty Dog & Trailer Park stages as well as HWCH in Dublin. Several tracks from the record have featured on Radio 1 (John Murray Show & John Creedon Show), Radio 2FM (Dave Fanning show) as well as Melbourne's famous breakfast spread on PBSFM to name but a few stations. 

The band are currently in Dublin and they are busy working on new material there that is set to have a new theme and sense of escape for the listener. The European summer of 2014 is shaping up to be a very exciting one with a tour of the Netherlands planned as well as the continuation of work on the new songs.
